Answer first

Removal and entry restrictions are serious administrative measures. Legality, enforcement and review depend on the specific ground; oral information cannot replace the written act and verification of the current deadline.

Obtain and preserve the written act

Request the full decision, service record and information in a language you understand. Record time, authority, officer, interpreter and every paper signed. If you do not understand the content, do not certify that you read or received a translation that was not provided.

Identify the precise legal ground

Removal may relate to unlawful stay, public-interest concerns or another statutory ground. The defence must answer the ground actually stated. A general assertion of good character does not replace analysis of the specific facts, proportionality and procedure.

Deadline, challenge and enforcement

Service may start the clock. Immediately confirm where and how the act is challenged and whether a challenge suspends enforcement automatically or requires a separate request. There is no universal answer; read the decision with the current consolidated law.

Family, health and other circumstances

Collect evidence of Georgian family ties, children, health, safety risk, lawful activity and address only insofar as they relate to the legal test. Evidence should be specific, dated and verifiable; a personal letter may help but does not replace official records.

Safe communication and emergency steps

Family should know the person’s location, case number and authority contact. If detained, request legal assistance and an interpreter. Do not publish passports or the full file on social media; share sensitive documents only through a secure channel.
